Great information on headphones for the iPhone. There are a lot of options out there. Over the years I have been very happy with Bose headphones. The quality of their headphones is really good. However, I should warn you that there are a lot of fake Bose headphones. My friend bought some on eBay and I couldn’t believe how cheap they were. Turns out they were fake this whole time!

Bose headphones are always a solid purchase. They are one of our favorites for headphones. Not to mention, they have very good home audio equipment, too.

Yeah, there are always fake Bose headphones. Make sure you do your due diligence when purchasing Bose headphones online, though.

    Hey there,

As an iPhone user and a runner I found your post to be very useful. I’ve been looking for a good wireless earphone or headphone for when I’m out and running, so that I won’t have a cord dangling over me the whole time. I’m not a fan of the Apple earpod though, I don’t know what the design team have in mind but that thing looks so bad and I don’t like the fact that they come in two small pieces which makes it that much easier to lose them. The Shure SE215-CL-BT1 sounds like a good headphone so I’ll be checking that out.

    Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, running and cords are never a good mix. There are a lot of people that are not really a fan of Apple’s headphones. They are cheap, but a lot of people really feel they are kind of uncomfortable, though.

The Shure SE215-CL-BT1 is a quality headphone. I’m quite sure you will be happy with it.

I absolutely HATE the stock Apple headphones. They hurt and are bulky! Which headphones would you recommend that are in-ear and have fantastic bass effects to them (I’m a bass junkie for life) that are under $125? I’m trying to get the maximum out of my purchase without completely breaking the bank.

    Looking forward to your response!

    • March 17, 2018 at 5:52 pm

Yep, there are a lot of people that feel the same way. The hard plastic in your ear certainly doesn’t feel good. The Bose ones are my recommendation if you’re trying to save money because they are under $100. However, if you got the money 1 More is a great option, too.

This might sound insane but I have a really hard time with earbuds. I always feel like they get sweaty and when they get sweaty, I’m afraid about getting electrocuted. Do you ever see people using old school around the ear headphones while in their iphones? I never see that! I’m a bit astonished to see some available at such a high price tag, but I understand the demand, because there’s usually so much good stuff to catch on the audial side in the golden age of TV that we live in 🙂

    • March 17, 2018 at 6:28 pm

It doesn’t sound insane at all. There is a risk of getting electrocuted from headphones, but it’s nothing that is fatal at all. Meaning, the worse case scenario would be a small zap, but nothing big. Apple actually wrote an article on this at:

No, most people don’t use the old school headphones with their iPhones when they are working out or anything. However, if you’re at home a lot of people will use those old school ones, too.

As a tech geek myself I found myself right at home reading this article. I do agree with most of the things you have said here regarding headphones. One of the biggest attractions for me was the title ‘dont buy crappy ones again’ and I couldn’t agree more. I always said if you buy cheap you buy twice. Getting a quality pair of headphones will not only last longer but will provide a better music experience. Good article.

Hi! I know that if you want good quality then you have to pay for it! Crappy & cheap headphone want last and the sound is terrible (in general)

This article helped me because now I know which headphone I’m gonna buy for my wife. She is an iPhone user and loves to run listening to music. I guess it gonna be some of the wireless types
